President of Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital, Shizheng Wu and His Team Visited Hainan Medical University

On February 22, 2016, Dr. Shizheng Wu, President of Qinghai Provincial People’s Hospital, led a seven-member team visited Hainan Medical University. On the morning, a welcome meeting was held at the First Conference Room in the campus.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zhijian Ma, Deputy Director of Academic Administration. Mr. Jichun Shi, President Assistant and Director of President’s Office, presented the welcome speech to the guests. Professor Huamin Wang, Dean of the School of International Education, briefed the international medical education system in our university. President Shizheng Wu introduced the history and characteristics of his hospital. The two sides conducted an in-depth discussion on the international education experience, as well as the possibility of hosting international interns in Qinghai. The leaders of Academic Department from the Affiliated Hospital and international students were invited and joined the discussion. After the meeting, the guests visited the student’s dormitory and had a friendly talk with our international students.

Qinghai Provincial People’s Hospital was built in 1927 and it is a 3A hospital with 1800 beds. The hospital is the biggest and the most famous hospital in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. For its good reputation, the hospital was granted the practice base for clinical internship for international students from Hainan Medical University in 2015.
