1.Basic situation

Hainan Medical College is located in Haikou City, the capital of Hainan Province. It has a history of more than 70 years of running a school. It shoulders the important task of cultivating high-level medical and health talents for the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics, the national "Belt and Road" construction and the South China Sea strategy.

As early as 2002, our school has jointly cultivated postgraduate students with Peking University, and has accumulated experience in postgraduate education. In 2013, it was awarded a master's degree authorization unit, and in 2014, it officially recruited postgraduate students. In 2015, it jointly trained doctoral students with Nanjing Medical University. In January 2019, it was awarded a doctoral degree authorization unit and officially recruited doctoral students in the same year.The university The school regulates standardize  s the construction of the postgraduate education system, and successively established the postgraduate department (college), and the secondary college established the postgraduate management office. In 2017, it signed an in-depth strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, and continued to learn fromthe experience of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. At present, our university school has established a postgraduate management team, formulated a complete training plan and management system, and established a scientific research system and a supervisor selection system to meet the cultivation of innovative ability of master and doctoral students.

2.Discipline construction

At the undergraduate level, the university school has 9 first-level disciplines and 20 majors in medicine, 3 first-level disciplines and 4 majors in science, and 3 first-level disciplines and 5 majors in management. There are 15 secondary teaching units such as the Clinical College, the School of Stomatology, and the International School of Nursing. 3.Education scale

As of June 2022, there are 58 doctoral students in our university. ourschoolcurrently has 58 doctoral students, 1,104 master students, and a total of 580 full-time master students who have graduated for 5 sessions. The scale of postgraduate enrollment has achieved rapid growth. Among them, the number of doctoral students has increased from 10 in 2019 class to 25 in 2021 class ; the number of academic postgraduates has increased from 45 in 2014 cl  ass to 133 in 2022 class , and the number of professional master students has increased from 2015.41 i  n  2015  class increasedto 423 in the 2022 class.

4. Instructor's situation

The qualification procedures for the qualification of postgraduate tutors of Hainan Medical College are strictly reviewed according to the qualifications discussed and formulated by the degree committee, and are discussed and voted at the dual meetings of the degree sub-committee of each training unit and the school-level degree committee, and are selected once or twice a year. The tutor qualification obtained is valid for three years, but requires annual assessment and qualification review  , The obtained tutor qualification is valid for three years, but needs to be assessed and reviewed every year, and the tutor qualifications and tutor enrollment qualifications are classified and managed. The Graduate School has a sound supervision and management mechanism for supervisors, and supervisors are commended or disqualified according to the annual assessment.

Our school has a relatively strong team of tutors, including 113 doctoral tutors, 113 academic tutors, and 412 professional master tutors. Postgraduate supervisors have 81% with senior titles, 19% with associate senior titles, 84% with doctoral degrees, and 13% with master’s degrees.

5. International exchange

Our university has carried out international education work with university of Utah, University of Newcastle and Queensland University of Technology in Australia, such as exchanging undergraduate students and jointly training master's and doctor's degrees. With the University of Utah in the United States, the University of Newcastle in the United Kingdom, and the Queensland University of Technology in Australia, it has carried out international education work such as undergraduate student exchange, joint training of master's and doctoral degrees.In 2021, through the funding of the China Scholarship Council, a doctoral student will go to Harvard University in the United States for one-year joint training.

6. Clinical practice

The school is one of the first batch of pilot universities and the first batch of educational informatization pilot units in the country's first batch of outstanding doctor education and training programs; there are 3 directly affiliated hospitals, 80 teaching and practice bases; there are 5 national first-class majors and national experimental teaching. 1 Demonstration Center, 1 National General Practice Specialist Training Base, 1 Key Discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 1 National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Project, 1 National Science Popularization Education Base, and National Drug Clinic . There are 7 specialized test bases, 1 laboratory of the National Drug Preclinical Safety Evaluation Institution, 1 Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Technology Access Institution of the Ministry of Health, 1 Joint Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and provincial key disciplines (including medical key disciplines) disciplines) 8 and 5 provincial key laboratories.
